SaSira is a sustainable jewellery brand founded in Scandinavia. It has a minimal design with a clean but strong expression, making every piece a statement. SaSira´s take on design draws inspiration from the 1920´s Art Déco era fused with a futuristic, minmalistic approach.
SaSira’s conscientious approach factors in the impact on the environment throughout the production process. The material used for all pieces is 925 sterling silver, refined in Norway and at least 90% recycled. SaSira commits to continuously seek to reduce its impact on the environment. SaSira cherishes craftmanship, both modern and traditional techniques are used to produce this unique jewellery. Designed and produced in her Gothenburg studio Sara’s one of a kind prototypes are then brought to life by her experienced Goldsmith based in Riga. The brand SaSira was founded in 2015 by designer and artist Sara Ingrid Andersson. With a bachelors degree in Fashion Design she widened her field of view completing her masters degree in Jewellery Art in 2016. With her background and presence in the fast moving and never resting world of fashion the art world has offered an antidote and the juxtaposition of the two fields provides a fascinating and highly creative space for Sara to act within. Sara´s aim is for you to feel proud wearing your SaSira jewellery art piece. |
SHOWROOM | STUDIOThis is where the magic happens, where all new ideas and creativity takes off. Welcome to book an appointment for a visit to SaSira´s showroom in Gamlestaden, Gothenburg. The showroom and studio workshop has been up and running since June 2018.
MATERIALSSaSira uses 925 sterling silver for their jewelries. The silver is bought in Sweden and refined in Norway. 90% or more is recycled from old silver in an environmental friendly and responsible process. Silver components such as locks and chains are made from most part recycled silver. Our jewelry boxes are produced in Denmark.
PRODUCTIONSaSira uses modern technology and traditional handicraft in the making of our jewelries
First step is to make a prototype and this work is made entirely by hand in the SaSira studio in Gothenburg, Sweden. For production of most jewelries SaSira uses water to cut the silver into the right shape and sizes. Water cutting is a modern and environmentally friendly technique that we make in Sweden. Our partner in Riga, Laura and Ildze makes all the handicraft according to traditional silver smithing techniques in order to get the beautiful SaSira jewelry pieces. |
